What is Children's Homes IQ?

An intelligence platform for people who run children's homes. It is built on the full public record of Ofsted children's home inspections: 4,915 homes and 42,644 reports, refreshed daily.

It turns that record into something you can act on: what inspectors are finding, how your homes compare, and what to fix before your next inspection.

What does the quiz actually tell me?

Thirteen quick questions, about a minute in total. Rather than asking how confident you feel, it asks what you can actually evidence today, across safeguarding, leadership, actions, supervision, Regulation 44 and benchmarking.

You get a readiness signal, your three weakest areas explained, and a practical way to close each one. No account needed to see your result.

Where does your data come from?

Entirely from Ofsted's published inspection reports, which are public. We read every report for every registered children's home in England, going back five years, and keep it current with a daily check for newly published inspections.

Do I need an account, and is anything free?

The quiz needs no account. The free tools and the Monthly Briefing need only a free account so we can save your homes and send it to you.

Paid plans add the things that are personal to you: alerts the day one of your homes is inspected, benchmarking against similar providers, and early warning of decline.

Is anything about my home shared with Ofsted or anyone else?

No. We have no relationship with Ofsted and no route into your records. The inspection data we hold was already public before you arrived, and anything you record in the platform, such as your actions, evidence and monthly reviews, stays inside your own organisation.

Who is it for?

Registered Managers, Responsible Individuals and the directors above them. A Registered Manager sees their own home, a Responsible Individual sees every home in the group, which is where the corporate-wide view comes from.
